Translated in Yiddish or Yiddish-Teitsh from the original Hebrew. Bergmann also subsequently produced a translation of the Christian Bible in Yiddish. He was either an apostate or a commissioned translator for the British and Overseas Bible Publishing House. This is a less common Yiddish translation of the Hebrew Bible and replacing it may have been part of Solomon Bloomgarten's (Yehoash) motivation for his own Bible translation.
