In Yiddish. Not generally cataloged as a Yizkor Bukh, but clearly of the same value as one. Brisk was both a center for Talmudic learning and Maskilic activity. Hayim Soloveichik, of Brisk, was the founder of a rather rigourous method of Talmud study known as the Brisker Method. While Vilna outshone it in the twentieth century it was one of its three primary Jewish cities.
