With a memoir by Leo Bernard. Reinhart was born in Portland in the American West. He was trained at Hebrew Union College and while still young accepted the call from the West London Synagogue (later, the Westminster Synagogue) in an unusual reverse of the direction in which Jewish immigation had been going for some time. He served than Liberal Jewish congregation until his death. Much of the text is comprised of material published by Reinhart in synagogue publications over the entirety of his career.
